About Louise

I'm Louise Durham, a glass artist based in Shoreham-by-Sea. For over 20 years, I've been creating sculptures that combine hand-crafted stained glass with reclaimed sea defense timber - work that has been featured in Colossal, My Modern Met, and collections worldwide.

My work is a celebration of light in all its forms, inviting us to step into its glow, recognize the light within ourselves, and live from that illuminated place.

The rainbow appears throughout my sculptures - not just as beauty, but as wholeness, transformation, and the harmony that emerges when opposites coexist. Through this, I gently ask: what might our world look like if we truly embraced the full spectrum of our shared humanity?

Inspired by the natural world and its quiet miracles, I explore the healing potential of light and colour. Each piece honours individuality and the richness of being uniquely human. My sculptures are joyful, soulful, and entirely personal.

I work primarily on commission, crafting bespoke pieces for life's most meaningful moments - celebrating transitions, commemorating loved ones, or simply bringing more light into a space. Whether it's a garden sculpture, memorial piece, or illuminated art for your home, each work is made with loving intention.
